岗位职责
? a deep understanding of assigned product/category in terms of functional requirements, technical specifications and cost targets
? Act as the team coordinator in OT, and drive structured problem solving and improvement actions when working with the cross functional operation team; be the main contact window of suppliers in the daily operation
? Execute strategic cost projects as requested, participate in X-functional improvement projects when purchasing input is required/useful.
? Provide input in to the supplier performance improvement process (GSRS) and improve actual supplier performance (using supplier development teams) and sustainability compliance
? Support the PCP process for the purchasing function. In this role ensure implementation of the approved Lighting commodity strategies with respect to: Supplier design –in, single/second sourcing decisions, product lifecycle pricing and early supplier involvement
? Negotiate competitive buying prices and competitive supply conditions (purchasing, quality, logistics, sustainability, IP etc.) for assigned suppliers
? annual supply market information update (incl. supplier SWOT analysis)
? Ensure the supply of the right quality materials in time and against the lowest cost from sustainable suppliers for the materials/components/products and/or suppliers within the agreed contracts.
The initial buyer is expected not only to have a good command of purchasing skills, but also better to have good understanding on the business. GBU mobility is the growing organization with the dynamic & diversified products, which leads to the various sourcing and supplier strategy for the different project and business model. The buyer is expected to provide the right supplier and product with the competitive terms, e,g. cost, quality, delivery, service and innovation in the fast response to the business requirements. The strategic thinking, decision making, communicating & influential & leadership skills are the challenging competency for buyer to achieve.
